#1: Regularly clean high traffic areas.
Soils are very abrasive to carpet fibers and should be removed to prevent carpet fiber deterioration when you walk on soiled carpet.
#2: Clean spots and spills immediately.
Red wine, red beverages, urine, blood, ect. can cause permanent stains if not cleaned immediately.
#3: Vacuum 1-2 times a week
Vacuum to remove all abrasive soils that can cut & slice the fiber causing premature wear. Remember, much of this soil is not visible to the eye, so even if you carpet looks clean it still needs vacuuming.
#4: Have Annual Carpets Cleanings
by a professional, certified firm. For heavy traffic areas, cleaning may be required more often. Proper, professional cleaning will not leave a sticky residue behind and can be done as many times per year as needed. Many stain resist warranties require professional cleaning every 2 years.
