Filtration Soiling Cleaning Notice
(Those ugly black lines around the baseboards and under doorways)

Soil Filtration: If you have light colored carpet, you may have noticed dark lines that appear on the carpet around your baseboards and doorways. This is known as filtration soiling. Stains develop as air passes through the carpet in attempt to travel room to room, depositing microscopic soils. This occurs over a significant period of time and is not noticed until a build up has occurred.
Filtration Soiling is difficult to remove because the soil particles are so fine that they penetrate deep into the carpet pile, sometimes into the backing of the carpet.
Can Soil Filtration Be Removed?
With special products, time & effort, reasonable results can sometimes be achieved.
PREVENTION: To help prevent filtration soiling, vacuum and wipe the edges of the carpeting on a regular basis. Be careful around the tackstrip on the edge of the carpeting, it could nick your fingers!

Be aware of "professional" carpet cleaners that advertise unbelievably low prices $5.95 to $10.95 per room. Seem too good to be true? THEY ARE!
Known as “Bait and Switch” advertising, the low price gets the high pressure salesman in the door,
and the consumer is taken advantage of and left with unclean carpet.
These are not professionals or honest business people.
If you don't call Master Clean, please resesarch any company you are considering hiring. Get references. Check your Better Business Bureau. The company should employ IICRC Certified Technicians. Certified Technicians adhere to carpet cleaning standards set for the industry.
