Carpet's 2 Protective Properties
1. Dye Blocker a.k.a. Stain Resist Property: A clear dye that fills in the empty dye sites, so that it is difficult for a spill or spot to penetrate the fiber.

2. Soil Resistor: A product that is sprayed on and baked at a high temperature. This helps to resist against common dry soil, and as a barrier between the spill and the dye blocker. Carpet Manufactures recommend re-applying protectors like Dupont Teflon after every cleaning. After applying DuPont Teflon to the carpet, more dry soil will be removed with vacuuming, spots will be removed easier, your carpet will last longer and look better.

Six Reasons to Protect Your Carpet
1. Reduce permanent stains: Proctected carpet actually repels spillage. It makes spots and spills much easier to clean.

2. Help save your traffic areas from becoming destroyed: Traffic area soil easily bonds to unprotected capet and then cuts the yarns like a knife. Protector increases the life of your carpet because soils will release when vaccummed much more effectively.

3. Make spots easier to remove: Many spots will be removed easily with water, which saves you cleaner, scrubbing, and time.

4. Protector will enhance the effectiveness of your next professional cleaning. More soil will be removed the next time your carpeting is professionally cleaned.

5. Helps avoid costly service calls: Protector helps you remove more spots so you don't have to call a professionals, saving service fees by removing the spot yourself.

Ultimately, Protector makes your carpet look better & last longer!

How Carpet Protector Works

Soky Bridgepoint's Maxim Fine Fabric Protection
To complement the Master Clean cleaning program, we offer Bridgepoint’s Maxim Fiber and Fabric Protection. This application assures you of the best protection possible against resoiling and stains.

Bridge-point’s Maxim Fiber Protection's 2 protective properties:
#1. Acid Dye Blocker
-a clear dye that fills the extra dye sites in a fiber. This helps to keep “foreign” dyes (such as red dye in a beverage) from penetrating the carpet fiber.
#2. Fluorochemical -(3M Scotchgard® or DuPont Teflon®.) helps repel spills & resists dry soil.

Benefits of Bridge-point’s Maxim Fiber Protection:
#1. More soil is being picked up by your vacuum because less soil bonds to the carpet.
#2. Protected carpet prevents damage: Soil that is able to bond to unprotected carpet acts like sandpaper, destroying your carpet fibers to an irrepairable state.
#3. The Protector works on almost any furniture fabric, even silk (must be new or freshly cleaned).
#4. The Protector is guaranteed not to water mark delicate fabrics.
#5. The Protector leaves a dries to form a layer that will help you maintain your furniture with ease.

2 Primary Ways That Protector Deteriorates
# 1. Regular foot traffic: Over a period of 6 months to 2 years, depending on the traffic, a significant amount of protector can be removed from your traffic areas and needs to be reapplied.
#2. High alkaline cleaner: Uneducated carpet cleaners use harsh chemicals that will strip it's protection. If this has happened, you should have the carpet re-protected.

4 Mistakes Other Cleaners Make When Applying Protectors

#1. Not Using High Quality Protector: Discount protectors are not as effective & can void carpet warranties. Master Clean uses only the highest quality, recommended protectors.

#2. Not Using a Dedicated Container: Using the same container for carpet protector & cleaner can contaminate the carpet protector making it gummy and ineffective. Master Clean vans have a dedicated containers reserved ONLY for carpet protector.

#
3. Not Applying the Product Properly:
Under-applying it doesn’t allow for complete penetration on the carpet yarns. Over-applying it causes the carpet to become overly stiff and crusty. Our company technicians are diligently trained for proper application.

#4. Not Grooming the Carpet: For the best performance, the product should be groomed into the carpet for maximum penetration. This ensures contact with all surfaces of the carpet yarn and proper distribution and drying. Master Clean always grooms your carpet pile.

#5. Not Applying the Correct Type of Protector: Master Clean also understands the importance in using the correct type of protectors. Whether it is a fine fabric that cannot have water applied to it, or wool, Master Clean is sure to give the correct protector for your needs.
